Developed by a team, called Superpedestrian, of Robotics Engineers and Designers whose vision was to Û÷transform urban mobilityÛª. This was their first project and they have already received over 1000 preorders for the Copenhagen wheel.
The Copenhagen Wheel has been engineered to fit on any standard bicycle out there. It replaces the rear tyre of your bicycle and provides you with a solid serving of innovation and technology.
Some pretty amazing features of the wheel would include ÛÒ
åÊ
-
Power assist ÛÒ This isnÛªt like a standard electric bicycle that takes over by accelerating for you, this feature gives you a little push when you want to pedal faster and keeps the riding experience real.
åÊ -
Regenerative Braking ÛÒ All your braking is stored as energy in the battery pack for use later when required. This will help commuters who have a lot of downhill commute and need to brake frequently.
åÊ - Mobile App ÛÒ The companion app for iPhones and Android phones allows you to lock/unlock, track ride details like elevation and calories burnt and also allows you to share and compete with friends.
åÊ
While these are only a few of the features available, the Copenhagen Wheel is capable of many more things.
