Race Review: Indian Terrain Golconda Sportive powered by Montra

The third in the Champions Sportive series – The Golconda Sportive, was held in Hyderabad on the 10th of September. The event saw the highest turn out of participants so far, a whopping 156 riders!

Though the day dawned warm and a hotter day was predicted, the spirit of the participants was undeterred. Ciclo café was abuzz with excitement and energy as riders showed up as early as 4.30 am, to prepare for the race ahead.

The event was flagged off from Ciclo Café and went on to the acclaimed TT road of Hyderabad – Chevalla road, and looped back to Ciclo café. The 50km ride looped back earlier.

The men’s race was dominated by triathlon athlete – Anubhav Karmakar who finished the 89km route in a mere 2 hours and 25 minutes, with a lead of 17 minutes.
