Organized by Walk to Himalayas, The MTB Meghalaya Challenge will be held from October 11th to 14th this year, in the Khasi region of Meghalaya. This competition will comprise of a challenging 148 kilometre trail, completed over two days. The main features of the ride include a spectacular off road trail, a single-track with great flow and fast terrain, and plenty jumps. All of this at a challenging 6500 ft above sea-level, in a rustic part of the Himalayas.

THE MTB MEGHALAYA CHALLENGE
AN OVERVIEW OF THE MTB MEGHALAYA 2018
Day 0 - Arrive at Airport, drive to Shillong, and get an introduction to the ride in the evening.
Day 1 - A 65-kilometre off-road ride to Mawphanlur with a mixture of uphill and downhill sections and a 10-kilometer flat section.The elevation profile on this day will be an approximate range of 1400m to 2000m. The elements of this ride will include a majestic river, dense towering forests and a glimpse into the remote village life of Mawphanlur.
Day 2 - An 83-kilometre ride to Mawsynram from Markasa. This leg of the challenge is set to include an amazing single-track with great flow and tons of jumps, and, a fast terrain. The race will end at Mawlyngbna, said to be the second cleanest village in Asia. The area pristine tourist spot with unexplored forests, majestic waterfalls, and springs. The ride will be followed by evening tea, a prize distribution ceremony and a post-event party.
Day 3 - Check out from Mawlyngbna, and drive back to Shillong.

The registration fee for the MTB Himalaya Challenge is INR 7,900 and includes the following:
- Race Participation
- Accommodation and food, during the event
- Technical support and nutrition during the race
- Backup support, rescue and medical services during the race
- Photographs
- All travelling during the event
Additionally, the participants can rent bicycles on a chargeable basis of Rs.1,000, per person per day, and can also opt for transportation to and from the race venue, pricing and booking details on this will be available closer to the event.
