Narrowing the gap between functionality and bike art, Vaux strikes the fine balance for cycling enthusiasts. We got the opportunity to test ride the Vaux X-Mount and here is what we thought.

The Vaux X-Mount is a comfortable to ride Urban MTB with a useful suspension lock-out and heavily treaded Kenda tires.
The Vaux X-Mount is built on a strong yet lightweight Alloy hardtail frame. This frame is built to ride on flat trails and the roughest of urban roads. The slanted top tube allows for the rider to tuck in their knees during drops so as to balance the Bicycle. The tubes are welded smoothly and the Alloy material has been used in perfect proportion on parts of the frame, which could experience maximum impact from the surface of the trail.
The stock front suspension fork made a considerable difference in absorbing vibrations of the surface during the test ride. The suspension lock-out was useful in riding faster on flatter surfaces.

The Vaux X-Mount which I test rode came in a full Black frame with Blue and Grey graphics. The matte finish paint job is of top quality and blends the colours used in a neat manner. The slanting top tube and the long straight handlebar makes this Bicycle look sleeker in design. The colour coded saddle and rims along with bulky treads on the tires make this MTB score high on aesthetics.

This hardtail MTB from Vaux comes equipped with Shimano Tourney in the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level MTB specific componentry from Shimano and they did perform well during the test ride. Quick shifts of up and down were smooth and did not have any lags. The 3x7-Speed combination with Shimano shifters made sure there was enough range of gears for gradual climbs and acceleration.

The Sparkle Mechanical Disc brakes handled the stopping power on the Vaux X-Mount. These brakes are as powerful as it can get on an Urban MTB. During the test ride these brakes were balanced and reactive to bring the Bicycle to a safe but quick halt.
The riser handlebar was lengthy and comfortable the raise from the middle makes it ideal for quick turns and for being stable on rough roads.

This hardtail MTB rolls on a pair of Kenda 27.5” x 2.10” MTB tires. These tires are heavily treaded with bulky treads which cover the tires evenly. This makes sure even fast cornering is safe on wet surfaces. The stock MTB saddle is perfectly designed to make sure the rider is safe and sore free on a bumpy ride.

This MTB has a lightweight and comfortable Alloy frame. The frame is designed for riding on roughest of surfaces. The powerful Sparkle Mechanical Disc brakes make it perfectly safe to brake even when riding fast on rough surfaces. The heavily treaded Kenda tires provide enough traction rolls safely on wet roads. Priced at Rs.28,265 (as on 16th March 2022) the Vaux X-Mount is an ideal choice MTB for both moderate trails and rough urban roads.
