United Miami 4.0 27.5: ChooseMyBicycle Expert Review

The United Miami 4.0 27.5 comes with a Hydroformed Aluminium frame with internal cable routing. The Hardtail frame has a slanting top tube, which provided an aggressive rider position yet supreme control on trails. Both the top tube and bottom tube aren’t circular, they are flat which makes the tubes sleek and keeps the weight in check.

During the test ride the Suntour XCM30 front suspension forks with its 120mm travel worked well both on harsh urban roads and rough trails. The Suspension lockout was a useful feature for efficient riding on smooth and flat surfaces.

The United Miami 4.0 27.5 which we test rode came in a Silver primary colour on the frame with Black and Red as the secondary colours for graphics. The matte finish paint job definitely enhanced the colour schemes to make it look shiny. The internal cable routing made the Bicycle look neat and the colour coordinated rims and forks made it look aesthetic.

The gearing in the United Miami 4.0 27.5 is handled by Shimano Altus 3-Speed at the front and Shimano Alivio 9-Speed at the rear. Having 9 gears at the rear ensures an extended range of speed which provides more power. The Shimano Altus 27-Speed rapid gear shifters were easy to use.

The stopping power on the United Miami 4.0 27.5 is taken care of by a pair of Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Disc brakes. These disc brakes are powerful and balanced and felt safe to engage even at high speeds during the test ride.

The United Alloy handlebar is lengthy with a very slight rise from the middle. This is a perfect MTB handlebar which means a comfortable and open chested riding posture giving great control over the Bicycle.

The Kenda MTB tires impressed us during the test ride. The 27.5” x 2.25” tires were heavily treaded with bulky buttons and covered the edges as well. These tires were fast rolling on flatter surfaces and could handle rough patches with ease. The stock Trail specific Saddle was wide with enough cushioning.
