Things We Like

  • Smooth 80mm front suspension fork with lock-out
  • Aesthetic design and graphics with a top-notch paint quality
  • Heavily treaded 29” MTB tires

Things We Don't Like

  • Handlebar grips felt like it could have had extra cushioning
Triad M6 Frame

The Triad M6 is built on a strong and lightweight Hardtail Alloy frame. MTB’s are supposed to be strong and often presumed to be heavy but this Alloy frame keeps the weight in check. The frame geometry with its slanting top tube was the ideal combination of comfort and aggressiveness which is suitable for trails and rough city roads. The longer rear triangle and contoured seat tube on this frame is engineered to provide better agility and performance for the rider.

The Triad branded suspension fork on the M6 came with an 80mm travel and also had a useful and smoothly working suspension lock-out which helps in speed and acceleration on flatter surfaces.

Triad M6 Design

The M6 which I test rode came in a full Black primary colour with Orange and White as the secondary colours for text and graphics. The sleek lines of graphic on the top tube definitely made the frame look stylish. The colour coded suspension fork and saddle enhanced the overall aesthetics of the Bicycle.

Triad M6 Gearing

The Triad M6 comes equipped with Shimano Tourney TZ30 3-Speed at the front and Shimano Tourney TZ50 7-Speed at the rear as derailleurs. These Tourney derailleurs are sleek and shift smoothly. The Shimano trigger shifters were easy to operate with a neat design and a clear gear indicator display.

Triad M6 Brakes and Steering

The Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear were ideal for precise and safe braking performance on rough trails and urban roads as well. During the test ride, when braking on fast turns and wet surfaces, it felt balanced and had a quick response time.

The 680mm Alloy handlebar was wide and gave an open chested riding posture while still being comfortable.

Triad M6 Wheels and Saddle

The Triad M6 rolls on a pair of Wanda 29” x 2.125” MTB tires along with Double walled Alloy rims. The treading was bulky and evenly spaced out, giving superior traction on rough trails. The 29” wheel size ensured easy rolling over obstacles.

The stock Triad Saddle was sporty in design and with the perfect length and width to keep the rider comfortable and stable.

This MTB is built on a strong yet lightweight Alloy frame which is comfortable to ride. The contoured seat tube and longer rear triangle provides increased agility and performance for the rider. The 80mm front suspension fork comes with a useful suspension lock-out feature. The 29” x 2.125” tire size ensured easy rolling over on trails and rough urban roads. Priced at Rs.25,157 (as on 23rd September 2020) the Triad M6 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Performance focused MTB for getting into trail riding and also for comfortable urban rides.
