We got the opportunity to test ride the Silverback Scento Path MD hybrid and here is what we thought.

The Silverback Scento Path MD is the perfect Cross Hybrid with Performance focused components and built for commutes, fitness and long distance rides.
The Silverback Scento Path MD is built on a full Alloy frame. This frame is well designed, sturdy and lightweight. The ergonomics on the Scento Path MD is the perfect combination of comfort and aggressiveness for a Hybrid Cycle. You will find yourself forward bent to an extent, which ensures that you are in an ideal position for balanced riding. The frame has a combination of circular and tapered tube profiles across the frame sections. This results in optimizing strength at the key joints, while minimizing weight where larger tubing is not required.
The Zoom Aria front suspension fork comes with a 65mm travel and is ideal to tackle bumps and speed breakers. The lock-out feature in this fork helps make the suspension rigid and thus making it easier to accelerate on flatter surfaces.

The Silverback Scento Path MD is classy looking Hybrid Bicycle. The frame design, unique and eye catchy tube profiles, along with one of the best paint jobs in the market, translates to the Scento Path MD being a head turner on the roads. The Bicycle which we test rode came in a full Green primary colour with Black and White as the secondary colours for the graphics and text. The gloss finish paint job was superior in quality.

The 21-speed drivetrain on the Silverback Scento Path MD is a combination of a 3-Speed microShift M21 as the front derailleur, and a 7-speed microShift M21 as the rear derailleur. Shifting was good across gears, with hardly any lags felt during the test ride. These are mid-level components in terms of performance and build quality. The drivetrain is controlled by microShift shifters, which were positioned well and are easy to use.

The Silverback Scento Path MD comes with JAK branded Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes were solid in stopping power and felt balanced to use even when jamming them. The levers were also lengthy and had an easy spring action which made it possible to operate using just 2 or 3 fingers.
The 680mm handlebar was perfect in length for a comfortable riding posture.

The Silverback Scento Path MD rolls on a pair of 700x40c Vee branded tires that are fixed on to Double Walled Alloy rims. The treading and size of the tires were ideal for city commuting and long rides. The rolling resistance was fast and the tread pattern provided enough traction on wet roads as well.
The stock Silverback Saddle comes with its performance focused centre slit design, making it ergonomic as well.

This is a Hybrid Bicycle with a comfortable Alloy frame which is easy to accelerate and also to ride on inclines. The aesthetic design with a gloss finish paint job made the Bicycle look premium. The ride quality was enhanced by an impressive microShift M21, 21-Speed drivetrain, a Zoom suspension fork and also JAK’s Mechanical Disc brakes. Priced at Rs.50,000(as on 18th May 2023), the Silverback Scento Path MD is an ideal choice for anyone looking to by a Bicycle for fitness, long distance rides and daily commutes.
