Rockfire is a new brand to enter the Indian Bicycle market. Rockfire’s vision is to empower you in your pursuit of getting better, by providing Bicycles that are designed, engineered and built for high performance. Their line-up of Bicycles includes Hybrids and MTBs and are focused on delivering a Premium Cycling Experience. We got the opportunity to test ride the Rockfire Hustle Sport and here is what we thought.
The Rockfire Hustle Sport is built on the AL Tech 6061 Aluminium frame. The frame is double butted to provide thin tubing, making the Frame both sleek and lightweight. The top tube is slightly inclined and thus makes for a comfortable riding posture. The heat forming system helped process the tubes and mould them in a neat way and make them strong.
The rigid fork on this Hybrid Bicycle is not only aero but are also stiff enough to handle bumps on the road.
The Hustle Sport which we test rode came in a Matte Serene Blue frame colour with Black as the secondary colour for decals and graphics. The top tube is well designed with sleek tubing. The superior quality paint job was shiny and enhanced the colour shades immensely.
The Rockfire Hustle Sport has an entry-level gearing setup, with Shimano Tourney as the front and rear derailleurs. These derailleurs were smooth in transmission during the test ride and we did not experience any lags. The quick shifts helped in accelerating with ease. The Shimano EF500 21-Speed shifters were easy to use.
The Logan Mechanical Disc brakes on the Rockfire Hustle Sport provided powerful and balanced braking on urban roads. These brakes were top notch when it comes to sudden halts in traffic. Jamming of the brakes also felt safe. The brake levers were also at a good position from the handlebar grips and required only 2 or 3 fingers to engage.
The stock handlebar was lengthy and had a slight raise from the middle to give a comfortable riding posture.
The Rockfire Hustle Sport rolls on a pair of DSI 700x35c tires. These tires were well treaded and at the same time the wheelset was lightweight thanks to its Double Walled Alloy rims. Even on slightly rough non-tar surfaces these tires rolled over without much difficulty. The Sport saddle was perfect in shape and also had outer layer material which was non-slippery.
This is a comfortable Hybrid Bicycle with a smooth shifting drivetrain and fast rolling 700x35c tires. The ride geometry was the perfect combination of comfort and aggressiveness. With great aesthetics and a smooth ride quality this Performance-focused Bicycle is built for Urban roads. Priced at Rs.22,690(as on 15th July 2022) the Rockfire Hustle Sport is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Hybrid Bicycle for fitness and commuting purposes.
