Polygon is an International Bicycle brand manufactured in Indonesia. They are known for Bicycles with performance focused components with a value for money price tag. Strattos is Polygon’s range of Road Bicycles. We got the opportunity to test ride the Polygon Strattos S4 (2023) and here is what we thought.

The Polygon Strattos S4 (2023) is a lightweight and endurance focused Road Bicycle with an aesthetic design and graphics.
The Strattos S4 (2023) is built on an ALX All-Round Performance Road full Alloy frame. The frame geometry is endurance focused and can be safely termed an all-rounder as the riding posture on the hoods and drops are suited for both flat out speed and tiresome hill climbs.

This Road Bicycle from Polygon which we test rode came in a full Grey frame with Dark Grey as the secondary colour. The matte finish paint job was smooth with aesthetic graphics. Internal cable routing for the gears made sure the Bicycle looked neat. The Orange graphic strip on the bottom tube is new and refreshing.

The Strattos S4 is equipped with Shimano’s 4700 Tiagra groupset at the front and rear as derailleurs. Tiagra is still the only stock 10-Speed drivetrain available in Shimano’s road component stable. The shifting was quick and responsive during the test ride. The ST-4700 Tiagra shifters have lost their gear indicators and have gone for the latest look which is similar to the 105 and Ultegra.

To complete the groupset, the Polygon Strattos S4 (2023)’s stopping power is handled by Shimano Tiagra’s BR-4700 standard Road Caliper brakes. The dual pivots provide light and comfortable performance thanks to Shimano’s significant increase in modulation.
The Entity Sport Alloy drop handlebar on this Bicycle was comfortable on the hoods and drops. The bar tape was grippy even with wet hands and gloves. The 48-51cm frame sizes come with 400mm handlebars and the 54-60cm frame sizes come with 420mm handlebars.

The Schwalbe 700x28C Road tires were perfect for racing and climbing on smooth tarmacs. The rubber compounds were strong and does give a long life, thus making it value for money.
The Entity stock saddle was designed ergonomically for an Endurance Road Bicycle to make sure the rider can be seated for long hours without experiencing any soreness.

This Road Bicycle has an Endurance focused frame geometry, making it comfortable for long rides and climbs. The 2x10-Speed complete Tiagra drivetrain was smooth and precise in shifting. The internal gear cable routing helps with increasing the life of the cables and also makes it look neater. Priced at Rs.89,990(as on 25th April 2023) the Polygon Strattos S4 (2023) is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Road Bicycle for long endurance rides and for amateur racing as well.
