Ninety One is an Indian Bicycle brand, their range includes Electric, Hybrid, MTB and City Bicycles for Men, Women and Children. This fairly new entrant to the Indian Bicycle market has come out with an extensive range with numerous designs and colours. We got the opportunity to test ride the Ninety One Wanderer 700c and here is what we thought.

The Ninety One Wanderer 700c is a simple and good looking single-speed hybrid for comfortable rides on urban roads.
The Ninety One Wanderer 700c is built on a strong yet lightweight TIG welded Steel frame. This frame has thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a slanting top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines. The rigid fork was bladed in shape and made it light at the front.

The Wanderer 700c which I test rode came in a full Army Green colour frame with Yellow and Black as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job along with the contrasting Green/Yellow colours made the Bicycle stand out on the road. The thin tubes and the colour coded saddle immensely enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

The Ninety One Wanderer 700C comes equipped with a single speed drivetrain. The pedalling was easy on flat and rough surfaces. It is a bit of a struggle to pedal on inclines which will require extra effort. The positives of a Single-Speed drivetrain is that it is easy to maintain and simple to ride.

This Hybrid Bicycle’s stopping power is handled by a pair of Sprandom Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.
The handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.

The Wanderer 700c rolls on a pair of 700x35C stock slick tires. These tires were fast rolling on Urban roads and the tread pattern ensures good traction on tar surfaces. The stock Ninety One Saddle was wide and had a lot of cushioning to make the rider comfortable and soreness free while riding on Urban roads.

This a Hybrid Bicycle built on a strong Steel frame which is comfortable to ride. The Single-Speed drivetrain was easy and smooth to pedal .The Mechanical Disc brakes were powerful and balanced on both dry and wet roads.
