The Alloy frame has a conventional frame geometry which was comfortable to ride.
This travel was smooth in working during the test ride and the Mechanical suspension lock-out feature was helpful.
The Shimano Tourney 21-Speed derailleurs were sufficient for quick and smooth gear shifts.

We got the opportunity to test ride Ninety One’s Kamet 27.5T MTB and here is what we thought.

The Ninety One Kamet 27.5T is a stylish looking Hardtail MTB with performance focused components and is comfortable to ride on both urban roads and flat trails.
The Ninety One Kamet 27.5T is built around a Hardtail Alloy frame. The Alloy frame has a conventional frame geometry which was comfortable to ride. This frame was capable of taking in vibrations of the surface on rough trails and urban roads. This lightweight Alloy frame made it easier to accelerate and to ride on inclines.
This Hardtail MTB comes with Zoom front suspension fork with an impressive 80mm travel. This travel was smooth in working during the test ride and the Mechanical suspension lock-out feature was helpful in making the fork rigid for a smoother riding experience on flat surfaces.
This Bicycle is built on a lightweight Hardtail Alloy frame and comes in a standard frame size
The Kamet 27.5T from Ninety One which we test rode came with Sand as the primary colour and Black as the secondary colour for the graphics and text. The matte finish paint job was top notch in quality. The Black saddle with a bold ‘91’ text is definitely eye catching. The bold yet sharp text and graphics were a standout and definitely enhanced the overall aesthetics of this Bicycle.
The Kamet 27.5T comes in 2 colour variant; Grey-Yellow and Sand-Black
The Ninety One Kamet 27.5T comes equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level gearing components in Shimano’s MTB hierarchy and they performed smoothly during the test ride. On rough urban roads and flat trails, these derailleurs were ideal for quick and short gear changes. The EF500 21-Speed Shimano trigger shifters were easy to use and in easy reach from the handlebar grips.

This MTB’s stopping power is handled by a pair of Logan Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on rough and smooth roads. Both interval and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.
The Alloy handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough with a raise from the middle to give the rider an open chested riding posture.
The Logan Mechanical Disc brakes were safe and balanced to use on both rough and smooth urban roads
The 27.5” x 2.1” Hartex MTB tires on the Ninety One Kamet were heavily treaded to generate a lot of traction on rough surfaces. The 27.5” circumference made it easy to ride over rough trails and urban roads.
The Stock saddle was wide and had enough cushioning to keep the rider comfortable on bumpy rides.
The 27.5” x 2.10” Hartex MTB tires were heavily treaded with strong double walled Alloy rims
This Hardtail MTB is built on a lightweight Alloy frame which was comfortable to ride. The front suspension fork has a smooth travel with a useful manual suspension lock-out which helps make the fork rigid to ride faster on flat surfaces. The Kamet’s design direction with colours and graphics made it look aesthetic. The 27.5” Hartex MTB tires were heavily treaded and fast rolling. Priced at Rs.28,499(as on 5th July 2023) the Ninety One Kamet 27.5T is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Hardtail MTB for riding on both urban roads and flat trails.
