The slightly slanting top tube makes this a perfect Unisex Hybrid Bicycle.

Worked smoothly during the test ride with absolutely no glitches in the gear transmissions.

Montra is an Indian Bicycle brand under the T.I Cycles group. This performance Bicycle brand has Hybrid, MTB and Electric Bicycles in various designs and models. From the 2022 range we got the opportunity to test ride the Montra Blues and here is what we thought.
Usage: Fitness/Commute/Long Distance
The Montra Blues comes with a full Alloy frame. This frame looks similar to the previous version with the geometry also being the same. But there has been a lot of work that has gone into the engineering of the frame which has ensured the Bicycle is lighter this time. The slightly slanting top tube makes this a perfect Unisex Hybrid Bicycle.
This Bicycle comes with a front suspension fork. The Zoom suspension fork comes with a working travel of 65mm and a useful suspension lockout. The lockout helps ride efficiently on flatter surfaces.
The Blues which I test rode came in a Black primary colour and a Grey and Neon for the graphics and text. The Black/Neon colour combination was aesthetic and the smooth matte finish paint job enhanced the colours and graphics immensely. The internal cable routing is a first time feature on this Bicycle and is a definite plus point.
The gearing department is equipped with Shimano Altus at the front and rear as derailleurs. These mid-level Shimano Hybrid derailleurs worked smoothly during the test ride with absolutely no glitches in the gear transmissions. The Shimano Altus 27-Speed shifters were easy to use.
The braking department comes with Logan Hydraulic Disc brakes. These brakes were powerful and had a fast response time when sudden braking in traffic and even on fast turns. Hydraulic brakes from Logan are considered to be best in braking brands and were top notch in performance and well up to expectation on a Hybrid Bicycle.
The XMR Alloy handlebar with a slight raise from the middle made the shoulder position relaxed. The ergo handlebar grips was a highlight with extended padding for the palms to rest on, there was very minimal vibration felt on the arms when riding over bumps.
The Montra Blues (2022) rolls on a pair of Kenda K935 700x35C Hybrid tires. These tires were perfect for speed and provided good traction which made it easy to ride on wet and bumpy roads.
The Montra Saddle was aesthetically deigned with the perfect length and width which made sure the rider is comfortable on longer rides.
This is a Performance Hybrid Bicycle packed with high end components. A Lot of first time featuring components include the powerful Logan Hydraulic Disc brakes and internal cable routing. The Shimano Altus 27-Speed gears were smooth in transmission. The suspension lockout at the front was a useful feature on flat roads. Priced at Rs.43,500(as on 11th November 2022) the Montra Blues (2022) is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a performance focused Hybrid for commuting, fitness and touring purposes.
