The geometry is a bit aggressive and this is needed for fast and compact rides.
The Aero flattened carbon fork was bladed and helped with keeping the front of the bicycle light.
The 2x9-Speed derailleurs worked well and had enough depth for quick acceleration and climbs.
These brakes are performance focused braking components and powerful on flat tarmacs and balanced on wet roads.

Java is an International Bicycle brand with a wide range of MTB’s, Hybrids and Road Bicycles. This brand forayed into India a few years back and has had a consistent release of new Bicycle models every year. Java is known for its stylish design and value for money components on its Bicycles. We got the opportunity to test ride the Java Siluro 3 Disc and here is what we thought.

The Java Siluro 3 Disc is an aesthetic, lightweight Road Race Bicycle equipped with a full Shimano Sora drivetrain and a value for money price tag.
The Java Siluro 3 Disc is built on a lightweight butted Aluminium frame. The geometry is a bit aggressive and this is needed for fast and compact rides. This frame has a tapered head tube, smoothly welded frame and an integrated seat clamp. The aerodynamic tube profiles make sure to aid in the smooth reintegration of air. The Aero flattened carbon fork was bladed and helped with keeping the front of the bicycle light.
This lightweight Aerodynamic aluminium frame weighs only 11.1kgs and comes in 3 different frame sizes
Java’s designs are always futuristic with smooth welding of the tubes. The Bicycle I test rode came in a White gloss finish frame with Black and Orange as the secondary colours for graphics and text. The flat aero tube profiles along with bladed carbon fork and an integrated seat tube clamp immensely enhanced the aesthetics of this Road Bike.

The Siluro 3 Disc comes with a full Shimano Sora drivetrain. This means that the front derailleur is a Shimano Sora 2-Speed, and the rear derailleur is a Shimano Sora 9-Speed. These are controlled by Shimano Sora 2x9-Speed paddle shifters. The combination of the Sora drivetrain translates to smooth shifting with quick acceleration capabilities.

Decaf’s Mechanical Disc brakes handle the braking power on the Siluro 3 Disc. These brakes are performance focused braking components and powerful on flat tarmacs and balanced on wet roads.
The stock drop handlebar was of the perfect length for optimum control over the Cycle on steep turns and also gives a compact riding posture.
The Decaf Mechanical Disc brakes with Sora brake levers made the braking experience safe and responsive
The CST Recourse 700x28C slick tires on the Siluro 3 Disc are race specific tires built to be lightweight and reliable. The rubber compound on these tires makes sure it gives maximum traction on dry and wet tarmacs. A slightly better tread pattern on the CST tires would have increased the longevity of these tires.
The stock Java Saddle was not only stylish, but has a level of support and cushioning that suits the rider on faster rides just as much as long distance rides. The integrated seat post clamp was aero shaped and made adjustment easier.

This Road Bicycle comes with a full Shimano Sora drivetrain and Decaf’s Mechanical Disc brakes. The lightweight Alloy frame and carbon forka kept the overall weight at just 11.1 kgs. The design and graphics were aesthetic and the gloss finish was smooth and of top notch in quality. Priced at Rs.79,900(as on 2nd March 2021) the Java Siluro 3 Disc is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Race Road Bicycle with aerodynamic profiling.
