Firefox is one of India’s leading bicycle brands with bicycle models for all types of riders and surfaces. From kids bicycles to performance focused bicycles they have it all. Firefox have a stronghold in the City/Hybrid segment and they have launched a new model the Firefox Voya 700c and we got the opportunity to test ride the this Hybrid Bicycle and here is what we thought.
Weight: 12.9 kgs
Usage: Commute/Fitness
The Firefox Voya 700C is built on a lightweight Alloy frame, which is strong and has a comfort focused geometry. The neatly welded tubes can take in enough vibration from the surface which makes the riding experience better. The steel rigid fork was thin in shape but strong enough to handle hard bumps on the road.
The bicycle which I test rode came in a matte finish dual shade of Light and Dark Grey as the primary colour on the frame with Yellow graphics. The matte finish paint job was was neat and the smoothly welded edges made the frame look sleek. The colour coded design on the saddle was a nice aesthetic touch.
The Firefox Voya 700C comes with a single-speed drivetrain. The 40T Crankset provides some solid single-speed pedaling on city streets. The pedaling was smooth on both flat roads and inclines. This bicycle is not just easy to ride but also easy to maintain.
The Firefox Voya’s stopping power is taken care of by a pair of Power V-brakes. These brakes were the conventional braking system with reasonably long brake pads which help the bicycle come to a halt in a safe and balanced manner. During the test ride these brakes did help come to quick halts and to maneuver through traffic.
The 660mm Steel handlebar was wide and gave an ‘open-chested’ riding position for the rider.
Being a commuter hybrid bicycle the Voya rolls on a pair of 700x35C Wanda tires. These tires were slick and fast which was perfect to ride in the city. The tires were treaded well to keep the bicycle balanced on both wet and dry conditions.
The stock Saddle from Firefox was standard in shape with ideal length and width. This saddle had a lot of cushioning and made the ride sore free.
Overall Rating
This hybrid bicycle is built on a lightweight Alloy frame which was comfortable to ride. The single-speed drivetrain was easy to pedal and also easy to maintain. The matte finish paint job and design was top notch and definitely looked like a higher priced premium bicycle. Priced at Rs.12,000 (as on 24th July 2019) the Firefox Voya 700C is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a bicycle for city commuting and fitness rides.
