Firefox is an Indian performance bicycle brand with a wide range of bicycles and accessories for the bicycle and the rider. The majority of their bicycles and accessories are urban specific and are built for comfort. We got an opportunity to review the Handlebar-end type Bicycle Mirror from Firefox and here’s what we think.
The Firefox Bike Mirror is a safety-oriented accessory that has been conceptualized with urban commuting in mind. Designed to fit on all MTB and Hybrid bicycle flat handlebars, the mirror can be used both on the left and right side of the handlebar with their unique fitting design. The easy-to-mount design helps fix the mirror on the handlebar in a jiffy, and it is easy to rotate it across various angles to ensure maximum coverage.
The Firefox Handlebar mirror has a simple yet innovative design that enables you to fit it on either side of the handlebar and also rotate it a full 360 degrees to ensure that the rider is able to set the mirror at any position desired. The enhanced, convex mirror provides a wider viewing area due to its angle of curvature and gives a crisp, sharp and clear reflection of the vehicles behind.
The mirror is made of a special shatter-proof glass which ensures that it doesn’t crack or break during nicks, falls and crashes. The only downside of using a bicycle mirror is that the rider might be tempted to keep looking into the mirror all the time and might sometimes lose focus on oncoming traffic on the road, but that is a safety issue that might arise from all bicycle rear-view mirrors.
Overall Rating
A well, designed, functional, safety accessory that is ideal for the Urban commuter. Priced at Rs.310 (as on 19th February 2019), it is inexpensive and is of good quality at this price point.
