Bykrr, a brand based out of Bangalore, was founded with the objective of making high quality bicycles for children that are value for money. It was this objective that led to the launch of the RX series for children. We got an opportunity to check out the Bykrr RX 16, read on for our thoughts.
A 16” bicycle that is lightweight, well-designed and vibrant.
Frame - The Bykrr RX 16 is made using a steel frame. Though traditionally steel is associated with being heavy, these bicycles are surprisingly light. Additionally, a steel frame means durability and strength. A slightly downward sloping top tube ensures added safety with extra standover clearance.
Fork - The Bykrr RX 16 has a rigid steel fork that is colour coded with the main colour of the bicycle.
Drivetrain - The Bykrr RX 16 is a single-speed bicycle which is ideal for young children who are learning how to cycle. The bicycle has a chain guard for added safety and protection.
Braking - The Bykrr RX 16 has Power V-Brakes at the front and rear. The braking was balanced and safe. The brake levers are easy to use.
Tires - The Bykrr RX 16 rolls on a pair of 16” tires that are broad and well treaded for added balance, superior grip and enhanced safety.
Other Features - Broad and well-cushioned PU saddle, Balance wheels that are colour coded (and removable), a QR on the seat post, mudguards (front and rear), Colour Coded reflective straps on the handlebar, Reflectors on the spokes.
Colours - This bicycle is available in a single colour option - A Black frame with bright Yellow as the secondary colour, and Blue and Yellow graphics and decals.
An ideal bicycle for kids whose is between 3’4” and 4’ tall
The Bykrr RX 16 has a lightweight Steel frame that is sturdy and durable. The design of the frame ensures a comfortable riding position so your child can get used to cycling with no worries. The broad and well treaded tires ensure superior control, balance and safety. the training wheels are sturdy enough to provide added balance and safety. Additionally, the quick release on the seat post makes it easy to adjust the saddle height, without needing tools of any sort. To add to the basic features, this bicycle comes with additional features like mudguards that make it worth the money spent. The Bykrr RX 16 is priced at Rs. 7,500 (as on 3rd May 2019).
