Esow placed second with a time difference of a mere 0.017 seconds between Jakub Stastny from Czech Republic, who placed first. Commenting on the win post the race, Esow said that this win was a big one for him and for the Country, too. This historic win is another feather to add to this ambitious teenager’s hat. Esow became the world number 1 sprint cyclist after his fantastic performance at the Asian Track Championships, the 2018 Cottbuser Sprint Cup 2 and the GR Brno Track Cycling Competitions.
