I bought the Merida Speeder 200 as my first bike. To use it as a commuter and for occasional weekend rides. Since I'm new to bicycles, I probably can't review it as good as the others but here are my thoughts. The frame is super light for an aluminum hybrid. It gives you the comfort and the speed you need to ride around in the city. Shimano Sora shifts smoothly and efficiently on city roads. I, as a beginner found the gears combination to be a little hard to ride uphill. And trust me, I live in a hilly area in Bangalore. I have at least 3 descents to conquer before reaching work. 😂 The carbon bladed fork adds to the light weight of the bicycle. Have ridden for about a hundred kilometers so far and have found the wheels to be quite sturdy. I ran into pot holes and bad roads. It seemed fine. To add to the comfort, the 32c Maxxis Detonators do a fine job in keeping the grip and provide enough comfort. Seat is hard. But I got used to it. I found the handlebars to be small. A little wider and it would've been perfect for me. And I love the internal cable routing on this bike. It's just brilliant. No hassles with cables whatsoever. The hydraulic disk brakes work wonderfully. As good as the ones on my motorbike.
