With precision, attention to detail, innovation and value for money being centric values, WaltX offers a range of Bicycles designed in-line with European standards that cater to the riding needs of everyone. We got the chance to ride the WaltX Trak 4 and here is what we thought.
Weight: 15.3 kgs
The WaltX Trak 4 is a Hybrid Bicycle built on a full Alloy frame. This rigid 6061 frame is well designed, sturdy and lightweight. The geometry on the Trak 4 is the perfect combination of comfort and aggressiveness for a Hybrid. You will find yourself forward bent to an extent, which ensures that you are in an ideal position for comfortable riding. The frame has a combination of circular, tapered and flat tube profiles across the frame sections, this results in optimizing strength at the key joints, while minimizing weight where larger tubing is not required.
The front suspension fork ensures that rough roads are tackled with ease and the useful lock-out feature makes it easier to ride faster on flatter surfaces.
The Trak 4 from WaltX has a frame design which is sleek with smooth tube profiles, along with a top quality matte finish paint job. The bicycle which I test rode came in a full Black primary colour with Blue as the secondary colour for the graphics and text. The colour coded saddle and suspension fork enhanced the overall aesthetics of this bicycle.
The Trak 4 is a 21-Speed Bicycle equipped with a Shimano Tourney TZ30 3-Speed front derailleur and a Shimano Tourney TZ50 7-Speed rear derailleur and is controlled by Shimano trigger shifters. While on the test ride, the shifting was smooth and precise. The trigger shifters were easy to operate, requiring an easy push and pull to shift between gears.
The Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear were ideal for precise and safe braking performance on rough and smooth urban roads. During the test ride, when braking on fast turns and in traffic, it felt balanced and had a quick response time.
The Alloy handlebar was wide and gave an open chested riding posture while still being comfortable.
The WaltX Trak 4 rolls on a pair of DSI branded 700x35C tires with strong Double walled Alloy rims. The treading and size of the tire was ideal for city commuting and long rides. The rolling resistance was fast and the tread pattern provided enough traction on wet roads as well.
The Trak 4 Saddle had ideal cushioning and width for a sore free ride on bumpy roads.
This is a lightweight and comfortable to ride Hybrid Bicycle built on a 6061 Alloy frame. The 21-speed gears along with dual disc brakes ensures a smooth riding experience. The front suspension fork with lock-out ensures comfortable riding on both smooth and rough roads. Priced at Rs.22,078(as on 29th September 2020) the WaltX Trak 4 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a performance focused entry-level Hybrid Bicycle.
