Marlin Bicycles are manufactured in a state-of-art facility which also comprises of a R&D team equipped with the latest know how which helps in creating new rider friendly designs. We got the opportunity to test ride the Marlin Yeti 27.5 and here is what we thought.

The Marlin Yeti 27.5 is built using aluminium alloy. This frame has a tapered head tube and smooth welded edges to keep the most of the material at places in the frame which is capable of taking in vibrations of the trails. The slanting top tube makes the ride geometry aggressive and comfortable as well.
The SR Suntour XCT front suspension fork comes with a massive 100mm travel which worked really well on the roughest of trails. The manual suspension lock-out helped make the forks rigid and thus ride faster on flatter surfaces.
The Marlin Yeti 27.5 which I test rode came in a Matt Black colour, the matte finish paint job was of superior quality. and internal cable routing for the gear cables. The subtle graphics was simple and the internal cable routing for the gear cables gives the Bicycle a clean look. The Wide MTB tires with big treads help the bicycle look rugged and trail ready.
A performance focused MTB like the Marlin Yeti 27.5 requires precise gearing. This bicycle is equipped with a Shimano Altus 2-Speed front derailleur and Shimano Altus 8-Speed rear derailleur. This Altus groupset is an entry to mid-level MTB derailleur and worked well during the test ride. The Shimano Altus rapid fire shifters were smooth in shifting with an efficient spring action.
The Marlin Yeti 27.5 is equipped with Tektro’s M275 Hydraulic Disc brakes with 160mm rotors. These brakes are the best you can find on a hardtail MTB, they were safe and balanced even on the most slippery and roughest of trails. The Tektro brake levers were easy to engage with just 2 or 3 fingers.
The stock Alloy MTB handlebar was wide in length and flat with no raise. This width made sure the rider has full control and great handling capabilities.
As in the name of this bicycle this bicycle, the Marlin Yeti 27.5 rolls on a pair of Kenda 27.5” x 2.20” MTB tires. These tires perform well on trails, mainly because of its tread pattern and the 2.20” width. These tires can keep you safe on the trails with maximum traction. The stock trail specific saddle was ergonomic and keeps you comfortable on fast trail rides.
This is a 27.5” hardtail meant for the both trails and flat surfaces. With smooth gear shifting and powerful Tektro Hydraulic Disc brakes this Bicycle will make you feel confident on the most challenging of trails. The heavily treaded 27.5” tires are capable of handling both wet and dry surfaces and even rocky trails. Priced at Rs.44,990(as on 28th December 2021) the Marlin Yeti 27.5 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a performance MTB for riding on flat tracks and trails.
