Java Suprema Carbon 105 - Review

The Java Suprema Carbon 15 is built on a lightweight full Carbon frame. The geometry is aggressive and this is needed for fast and compact rides. This frame has a tapered head tube, a smoothly welded frame, and an integrated seat post clamp. The aerodynamic tube profiles make sure the trailing edges aid in the smooth reintegration of air.The Aero flattened Carbon fork is bladed which helped with keeping the front of the bicycle light and aerdynamic.

The Java Suprema Carbon 15 is equipped with a full Shimano 15 R7 Road Drivetrain. 15 is Shimano's entry into full performance drivetrains, it sits beneath Dura-Ace and Ultegra in the Shimano Road hierarchy. During the test ride both at the front and rear, the gears shift cleanly, smoothly and quietly. We never missed a gear or felt the shifter being unresponsive when we needed to change gears quickly. The 2x11-Speed integrated Shimano 15 shifters were easy to use with feather light pushes to change the gears.

Java's designs are cutting edge and futuristic with smooth welding of the tubes. The Bicycle I test rode came with a Black gloss finish frame with Red as the secondary colour for graphics and text. The flat aero tube profiles along with the bladed Carbon fork and an integrated seat tube clamp immensely enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

The Road specific brakes handle the braking power on the Suprema. These brakes were lightweight components and powerful on flat tarmacs and balanced on wet roads.The Deca Alloy drop handlebar with an integrated stem was of perfect length for optimum control over the Bicycle on steep turns and also gives a compact riding posture.

The Michelin Sport 7x23C slick tires on the Suprema are race specific tires built to be lightweight and reliable. These tires give maximum traction on both dry and wet tarmacs. They are well supported by lightweight deep-dish Decaf rims.The Deca Saddle was not only stylish, but has a level of support and cushioning that suits the rider on faster rides just as much as long distance rides. The integrated carbon seat post was shaped aerodynamically.
