The slanted top tube allows for the rider to tuck in their knees during drops so as to balance the Bicycle.
The travel was just about sufficient for rolling over rough patches.
Quick shifts of up and down were smooth and did not have any lags.
During the test ride these brakes were balanced and powerful enough to bring the bicycle to a safe but quick halt.
These tires are heavily treaded with bulky treads which cover the tires evenly.

FitTrip is an Indian Bicycle brand which entered the market not so long ago. With their focus lying in MTBs, FitTrip have multiple models in their portfolio for different types of terrains and riders. We got the opportunity to test ride the FitTrip Vyper RS 29er MTB and here is what we thought.

The FitTrip Vyper RS is a strong Hardtail MTB with performance focused components for comfortable trail rides.
The FitTrip Vyper RS is built on a strong Alloy Hardtail frame. This frame is built to ride on flat trails and the roughest of urban roads. The slanted top tube allows for the rider to tuck in their knees during drops so as to balance the Bicycle. The tubes are welded smoothly and the Alloy material has been used in perfect proportion on parts of the frame, which could experience maximum impact from the surface of the trail.
The front suspension fork made a considerable difference in absorbing vibrations of the surface during the test ride. The travel was just about sufficient for rolling over rough patches. The suspension lockout is a handy feature to go faster on flatter surfaces.
This Hardtail Alloy frame comes in 2 frame sizes; 18” and 20”
The Vyper RS which I test rode came in a full Black frame with Blue graphics. The matte finish paint job is of top quality and blends the colours used in a neat manner. The slanting top tube and the long straight handlebar make this Bicycle look longer and sleeker in design. The colour coded handlebar and fork along with bulky treads on the tire make this MTB score high on aesthetics.

This Hardtail MTB from FitTrip comes equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and Shimano Acera at the rear as derailleurs. These are mid-level MTB specific componentry from Shimano and they did perform well during the test ride. Quick shifts of up and down were smooth and did not have any lags. The 3x8-Speed combination with Shimano shifters made sure there was enough range of gears for climbs and acceleration.

The Tektro Mechanical Disc brakes handled the stopping power on the Vyper RS. These brakes are as powerful as it can get on a Trail Bicycle. During the test ride these brakes were balanced and powerful enough to bring the bicycle to a safe but quick halt.
The 680mm handlebar was lengthy and comfortable if you are looking to commute with it. They width is perfectly suited for trail rides with up’s and downs.

This hardtail MTB rolls on a pair of Compass 29” x 2.25” tires. These tires are heavily treaded with bulky treads which cover the tires evenly. This makes sure even fast cornering is safe on wet trails.
The stock MTB saddle is perfectly designed to make sure the rider is safe and sore free on while out on the trail.

This MTB has a strong yet lightweight Alloy frame. The frame is designed for riding on the roughest of surfaces. The powerful Tektro Mechanical Disc brakes make it perfectly safe to brake when riding fast on trails. The heavily treaded tires provides enough traction and rolls safely on wet and dry surfaces. Priced at Rs.26,000(as on 10th March 2021) the FitTrip Vyper RS is an ideal choice MTB for both trails and rough urban roads.
