Cosmic is one of the very few Indian brands which provide both value for money and performance oriented Bicycles. The H series is their premium Hybrid range which is aimed at being both fast and comfortable. We got the opportunity to test ride the Cosmic Cospro H1 and here is what we thought.
Weight: 13.8kgs
Usage: Fitness/Commute
The Comic Cospro H1 is built on a lightweight Alloy frame. This frame had thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a slanting top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines.
The stock suspension fork was ideal for rough patches on urban roads and the lock-out feature helps accelerate better on flat surfaces.
The Cospro H1 which I test rode came in a full Blue frame with Neon Yellow and Black as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job along with the contrasting Blue and Neon Yellow colours made the Bicycle stand out on the road.
The Cosmic Cospro H1 is equipped with Shimano’s Tourney 3-Speed at the front and Shimano Altus 8-Speed at the rear as derailleurs. These are a mid-level Hybrid Bicycle groupset from Shimano and they shifted smoothly during the test ride with no lags. The Shimano EF500 21-Speed derailleurs were smooth to operate.
This Hybrid Bicycle’s stopping power is handled by a pair of Zoom Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.
The Alloy handlebar on this bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.
The Cospro H2 rolls on a pair of 700x35C Compass Retro Elite slick tires. These tires were fast rolling on urban roads and the tread pattern was enough to get good traction on tar surfaces.
The stock Cosmic Saddle was wide and had a lot of cushioning to make the rider is comfortable and soreness free on bumpy rides.
This a Hybrid Bicycle built on a lightweight Alloy frame which is comfortable to ride. The Shimano Tourney/Altus 24-Speed drivetrain was smooth in shifting and precise as well. The Zoom Mechanical Disc brakes were powerful and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Priced at Rs.35,500(as on 3rd November 2022) the Cosmic Cospro H1 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Bicycle for fast commutes and fitness focused rides.
