We got the opportunity to check out the CatEye Velo 9 Wired Cyclocomputer and here is what we thought.
The CatEye Velo 9 is a wired Cyclocomputer is an entry-level Cycle Compouter which has a large screen which makes it easier to read while Cycling. The Velo 9 has 9 functions; Current Speed, Maximum Speed, Average Speed, Trip Distance, Total Distance, Elapsed Time, Calorie Consumption, Carbon Offset and Clock.
The Velo 9 from CatEye has a One Touch Button for Switching between screens. This Cycle Computer also has the following features; Auto Start/Stop, Pace Arrow, Simple Tire Size, Auto Power Saving and a Programmable Odometer.
The CatEye Velo 9 has a neat and compact design and does not take up too much space on your handlebar. The Velo 9 is powered by a CR2032 Lithium battery with a run time of up to 3 years (1 hour use per day). The Velo 9 weighs just 30 grams, the lightweight and sleek design make this Cycle Computer a must have for any rider who is just getting into Cycling and wants to track their rides.
The CatEye Velo 9 is can be attached to any shaped handlebar with the use of Zip Ties and the FelxTight Universal bracket which comes in the Box with the Velo 9. As this is a wired Cyclocomputer the device calculates the ride data via a sensor and receiver. The receiver can be attached to your Fork with the help of a zip tie and the sensor is fixed on to the Spoke of the Wheel with the help of a screw on bracket.
