Polygon is an International Bicycle brand manufactured in Indonesia. They are known for Bicycles with performance focused components with a value for money price tag. Strattos is Polygon’s Road Bicycle range. We got the opportunity to test ride the Polygon Strattos S8D 2022 and here is what we thought.

The Polygon Strattos S8D is a fast and feather light Carbon Road Bicycle with a complete Shimano Ultegra groupset weighing just 9.1kgs.
The Polygon Strattos S8D is built on an ACX All-round UCI approved full Carbon frame. This full Carbon frame is super light and durable thanks to its perfectly profiled down tube and seat tube for improved aerodynamics. The tube shapes of this frame enable perfect airflow at the lowest weight.
The rigid fork on this Bicycle is made of Polygon’s ACX full Carbon. The bladed fork contributes to smooth steering and keeping the front half of the Bicycle light.
The full Carbon frame and fork is super lightweight with the overall weight of the Bicycle at 9.1kgs
Polygon’s design, especially on Road Bikes are top notch and the same was reflected on this Strattos S8D (2022). This frame comes in a dual shade gloss Rose Gold and Silver. The improved tube profiling definitely has made the finish look aerodynamic and aesthetic.

The Polygon Strattos S8D is equipped with a full Shimano Ultegra road drivetrain. Ultegra is Shimano’s top end performance drivetrain. It sits only beneath Dura-Ace in the road component line-up. During the test ride both at the front and rear, the gears shift cleanly, smoothly and quietly. I never missed a gear or felt the shifter being unresponsive when I needed to change gears quickly. It shifts well under load and on inclines as well. The 2x11-Speed integrated Shimano Ultegra shifters were easy to use with feather light pushes to change the gears.

To make it a complete groupset, the Strattos S8D (2022) comes with Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic Disc brakes at the front and rear. These lightweight braking components made sure the braking was precise and balanced on both dry and wet tarmacs.
The Entity Expert drop handlebar was perfect in width making it not too wide nor too cramped. Getting off the saddle and accelerating was easier thanks to the great steering response which this handlebar provided.

The Schwalbe One 700x28C tires on the Strattos S8D are tough and long lasting race specific tires built to be lightweight but reliable. The puncture protect layer ensures the tires and tubes are saved from smaller punctures.
The Entity Flux 2 Saddle has a level of support and cushioning that suits the rider on faster rides just as much as those riding a century ride.

This full Carbon Road Bicycle comes with a complete Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic Disc brakes. The lightweight Carbon frame with a Carbon fork kept the overall weight very less at just 9.1kgs. The design and graphics were aesthetic and the gloss finish was shining and of top notch quality.
